    1999 Taps

My Taps system is low on fluid. I know where the pump is , but for the life of me I cant figure out how to fill it ( where to find the fill hole) or how full to fill it when I do.
There is a small stainless steel screw in the middle of the top clear dome cover but I cant tell if that is a fill hole or not. Its a pretty small diameter hole if it is.
Can it be filled in in place or do I have to remove it from where it is mounted under the inspection cover and fill it?
I will try to post a couple pictures later.
    Thanks.

I am going off of memory (not that great). I think you remove that little screw and remove the lexan cover. Then you will find and remove a plastic or rubber fill plug next to the pump at the top of the white reservoir. I use one of those ketchup type bottles to fill it or a really small funnel. Make sure your TAPS is in the full UP position so you don't overfill your reservoir.

Unless you can find an extremely skinny funnel then that ketchup bottle posted above will probably be your next best thing... Every thing TeamAllen said is right... I would recommend pulling the whole unit and replacing the fluid that way....This way you can make sure the fluid is at the proper level...Mine was pretty bad and all the fluid looked like pepto-bismol so I ended up taking the whole thing apart. Nothing would ruin a trip quicker than having your taps go out on ya.. Well there are plenty of other things.. but that could suck...
