Alarm help

2004 22v. Alarm is going off once we get full throttle. It's the same alarm that beeps when you turn key on. Trans fluid light is off. Temp gauge is normal. Checked oil several times and oil level is plenty.
When I turn key off it goes away and restarts fine. It seems to happen with high rpms-like taking off with a surfer or full speed.

Also have the screeching problem. Could one be causing the other.

Let's say your screeching belt is due to an alternator problem and as your engine speed picks up, the alternator is not putting out any voltage which would also cause a warning beep on the dash. So, what's your voltage when the alarm is sounding?

I do not remember the voltage. Also the temp gauge is not working properly I figured out. It's stuck on 175. Engine was real hot to the touch for awhile after we were off the water.

I would think an over heat issue then. Take the wire off your sending unit and with the key on ground the wire and it should peg the needle.

I might have helped fix the problem. I took off the intake hoses and there was a lot of junk clogging up. I'm going to back flush inlet hose and change impeller. What would changing thermostat don't?

Thermostats have a slight tendency to stick after an overheat but not likely. Easy to do though so really up to you. Glad you were able to track it down.

Fixed alarm/overheating. I started taking hoses off and checking. Found some debris and cleaned out. Boat ran fine and no alarm. I'm still going to replace impeller and thermostat. Thanks for help.
