I have a bilge question. I have a new 24V Riders. I don't know if I have a bilge problem or if is is fine. When I flip the switch, I don't hear anything and no water comes out of the side. But when I take the boat on the trailer after a day on the lake, I open the drain plug and water drains quickly for about a minute. Is this normal? I don't know if the water just doesn't reach the pump until a certain level or what. Then one day as I was driving the boat to the lake, I noticed water shooting out the side. This was after a rainy day. I assume the gravity moved the water to the bilge area.

I have the same issue. I believe the bilge doesn't reach all of the water unless you have the bow at an incline, i.e. on the boat ramp while on the trailer of just planning out. To get all the water out I usually will turn on the bilge then throttle up, raising the bow, and moving the water to the rear of the boat.
The best method for me is at the end of the day when leaving the boat ramp. I normally leave the bilge on while the boat is going up the boat ramp. It seems to get that last squirt or two that otherwise couldn't be reached while sitting level.

tige 24v water in the bilge
I had the same issue on our 24v. After a day at the lake way too much water was coming out of the bilge. We took it back to the Slalom Shop and they found that the taps plate was not completely sealed where the mounting holes go through the transom. They resealed them and it has seemed to work.
It is amazing how much water you need to have in the bilge to get the pump running.
