hydraulic fluid type

What type of hydraulic fluid should I use to replenish my supply? I have a 2000 21i. It has no leaks and this is the first that I have added to it in 15 years.

The little plunger has no fluid showing so I assume that it is low. That said, where on the plunger would indicate full?

any good ATF will work fine. you don't have to go to the boat dealers for anything special

there should be some markings on the side of the semi-transparent fluid reservoir that indicate full and low
