Oil pressure from 50psi to 0

I have a 2007 tige RZ2. My issue is my oil pressure is going from 50psi to 0 and horns going off and boat slows down. I stick in neutral put back in gear and everything goes back to normal. It has done this randomly about four times in about 20 hours. Could it be oil pressure switch? If so where is it and how to I get one. Thanks for all the help

It could be the sensor (not switch), or it could be that your pressure is going to zero and could quickly harm your engine. I'd change the sensor, easy job. If that doesn't fix it, I'd get a real gauge on the engine and see what the real pressure is (could be wiring, etc).

It could actually be oil pressure. Have you checked the oil level with the boat sitting level in the water? You 07 MP may actually have 2 oil pressure reading devises. Of so, one is a sensor for the gauge and one is a low pressure switch tied to the ECM and the sounder. They share a common fitting that has been known to get gummed up. If your engine has the 2 sensors, I would pull them and the fitting and clean with carb cleaner. Then retest.

Thanks you guys. Yes oil level is fine. Like I said it goes from 50 to 0 immediately and then correct itself. So question is where would I find those sensors? And or does anyone have a picture of where it is at? Thanks again guys.

          By the oil filter housing.

yes, both, because they share a common fitting that threads in to the block. That common fitting is whats been known to gum up.
