    22ve needs service

Can anyone recommend a great place to get my 22ve serviced in the Needles, CA /Bullhead/Havasu area?

I seem to remember someone saying on here that there is a former Tige mechanic working at Advantage boats in Havasu.

What is it that needs to be done? There is a lot of useful information on here and most things can be done with a little patience. If you get stuck or need some help while your doing it you can ask on here as well.

Monacruz, if you are slightly handy those are easy items to do yourself. It might take you 2 days to get everything done but you'll know you did it right, and you'll learn about you boat at the same time. There is a really good thread on here about replacing the steering cable, start there. Then try to find the manual for your boat to get the rest of the info for the tune up. There is also 1-2 threads on here about oil changes too. What year is your boat and what engine and transmission does it have?

So far I have done all the work myself. I have done all the items that you mentioned and then some. I have replaced all the spark plugs, change the oil every year (in both the engine, tranny, and vdrive) replaced the steering cable (I did post some information on here about that), and change the impeller every year. I winterize it myself every year. I have added a ballast system and re done some of the stereo items as well as fixed items that were in need of repair when I bought it. I checked online and was able to buy most of my parts on line. The steering cable took a little patience since I wanted to use the factory route (I had to enlarge the hole then used a piece of wood and a second hand and was able to get it.) I struggle till I used the piece of wood and got my daughter to help me, my arms weren't long enough to stretch in the two places they needed to be in. As I mentioned there is lots of information on here as well as people that are willing to help. It has helped me to better understand my boat plus I think it has made me more prepared if something were to happen during a trip or in the middle of a lake I would know what to do.
