cover boat during winter inside storage?

Please give me your opinion on weather its a good idea to cover the boat while being stored inside in a non heated garage or to leave the cover off.
    Thanks

We did last year. It was stored in a large, non-heated warehouse. Figured it would help keep the dust out and if there happen to be any birds in there, no bird droppings in the boat.

Our dealer suggested to us that we hang onto the plastic shipping cover that the boat was shipped with. Install the regular cover and lay the shipping cover over the top. This will keep the bird crap (if there are birds) and dust off the regular fabric cover. We haven't tried this yet as we just purchased our Tige this year. Our old boat was always plastic wrapped by the dealer for storage, but since we love our new boat, we rented indoor storage for it year round. If you like this idea, contact you dealer and see if you can get a shipping cover from a new boat, most of the dealers throw them out.

I keep both covers on during winter storage- my snap on cover and the full cover. My boat gets stored inside a heated warehouse. Like mentioned above, it helps keep dust and other unwanted vermin out.
