    My SICK 2006 Tige' 22VE

My boat is not NEW anymore and has a few issues. I have read all about LIMP MODE and other issues fellow Tige' owners are having.

This all started when I changed my steering cable out. WOW that was not fun. I could write a book on what needs to be done to make this easier on a 22VE.

After completing this MONSTEROUS task I reconnected the connections to the fuel tank and cleaned everything up to look new again.

Took boat to the lake to find that my gas gauge does not function and the boat started going into LIMP MODE when stopping to pick up a skier. Once you go into neutral and then attempt to take off, nothing happens. If you turn the boat OFF and re-start it works????? Not sure this had anything to do with steering cable change out?

I only have one battery and have tested it as well as checked connections.

Not sure if it is the TPS or PPS from other threads. Where is the PPS and TPS?

    Need help.

Also need to get fuel gauge working again. Not much fun pulling the floor out. Should be much easier. Poor engineering on design of floor.

    Looking for anyone's advice.

Did you get it figured out? I would get the code read first. That will at least point you in a direction. If it is the PPS, that sensor is behind the throttle lever at the helm. Let us know what you find.

When you put the steering g cable back I. Did you route it under the fuel tank? Not sure why you had to remove the tank for the steering cable. But since that is the part you messed with before the trouble I would look at all your fuel tank hoses and connectors and make sure it's all together correctly. You might have inadvertently left a hose loose to too tight or crimped a hose or left a grounding wire off. The fuel tank sender could have just gone bad from it being disconnected too.

And if you have a good writeup for specifics on the steering cable swap in a Ve please post it up on the steering cable sticky thread.
