2004 21i shaft seal

I am looking for help to fix a slow leaking shaft seal. I have already loosened the 2 allen head set screws that hold the collar in place on the shaft and moved the collar off the shaft seal (rubber boot). How far down do I slide the collar after it makes contact with the shaft seal (rubber boot)?

Thank you for the video, very helpful. Without the video I would not have found the second set of set screws. Shaft size is 1 1/8", do you have the bellow compression chart?
