    Boat sank (almost)

I had a plug issue and found my 24ve with water up to the top of the batteries and a wet floor up to the steering wheel. I have pumped it out and am allowing it to dry out.
My question is now what do I need to worry about? engine (starter, electronics), flooring, other electronics?
I assume that even though many components are on a "boat" they are not meant to be submerged.
    Thanks

At that level your biggest problem is probably going to be the starter as that is low on the engine. The engines is fairly well sealed and should be OK. You should not have any problems with electronics as they would be above the water level. Look to be replacing the starter selenoid or the complete starter.

I did that on my old boat, engine half under water. All that I lost was the selenoid on the starter.

With a M-P engine, his starter is mounted on top of the bell housing so it should not have been under water.

Yea, the starter is high and may not be a problem. The fuel pump/filter is lower and to the back of the boat. Also check for water in your oil, transmission and V-drive.

With a name like Driveby I have to. I know you did not get that name because you are the school crossing guard.

Don't count on it. Educate yourself as much as possible so you know the right questions to ask when you are at the dealer.
              Possible future problems;
              1. starter
              2. alternator
              3. steering cable
              4. low lying electrical connections
              5. stereo components
              6. courtesy lights fogging up
              7. water logged seat cushions

              Good luck

Then, obviously your oar is too short.

It's not the size of the oar, it's how well you can row...

And don't forget that sometimes you have to get a good grip on your oar.
