How do I get in the floor hatch on 2007 rz2

3 of the 4 filler ballast pumps are not working in my boat. But I cannot get at them as they are under the floor hatch. Any ideas how the hatch lifts? I can see the rectangle outline in the carpet.

Center section of rear seat has to come out...kind of a pain in the ***. then the floor comes up.

Got it. 6 screws hidden in the carpeted trim along the base of the center seat "box". Behind it will be 3 large screws.

Are your pumps standing vertical or laying horizontal? The standing pumps caused vapor lock almost every time I had used them. I had a dealer on here (Lee) build me a pump manifold that laid horizontal. It solved all of my vapor lock issues and filled much easier.

Sounds about right. Sometimes they have some bolts with nuts andwashers thru the sides and these are the tuff ones to get at. Not all of them have them. So hope you got it out.

Pumps are laying down. $25 for a new pump cartridge, already have the parts so sound be an easy fix. Thanks

Can you post a pic on how you removed that section? I too pulled the 6 screws from the center trim. Then I pulled the 3 behind it, and still could not get the floor board to come out. It looks as if the center seat has to come out and that does not look easy.

Yes, the center seat section does need to come out of the boat. There is a bolt/nut on each side that secures the seat box to the boat. If you remove the engine dividers and climb in the locker, you will find them. You will need a 7/16 box end wrench for the nut and a phillips bit in a power driver for the screw head. Once the seat box is out, the floor lifts up from the rear.

That sucks, cause I have a pump not filling, and the dealer told me to do this on the lake. He said it may be locked up and need to pull the top up then put back on. I can barely reach the pump enough to rotate the top, but not pull up. So not sure how much fun all this will be to do on the lake?
