    SPN 655 Injector 5 fault

I am getting this fault on my 2012 Z3.

We checked the voltage to the Inject 5 using the computer, and injector 5 is getting crazy high voltage spikes at idle only. Once we give it a little juice and or start moving on the water the voltage is normal for all the injectors including #5.

It is under warranty, the problem is that the dealer is an hour or so away and its a PITA to take it there. I would rather just resolve it myself if possible?

I thought Chatlee got out of the tow boat biz?

None the less, whats crazy high voltage and how did you measure it as compared to the other 7? Its a 12V system, with about 14.5v max with alternator at a pretty good clip. The B+ for the injectors typically is just switched B+, so none should ever be above battery voltage. The ECM then pulses the ground side of the injector to control its on time. is it by chance the injector # PWM thats higher then the rest at idle?

Chatlee did get out of the business, I bought their last Z3, they give me a helluva deal! They still have to honor the warranty. Unless I could just have Brandon from YourMobileTech come fix it and have PCM pay him?

Anyway, I am not sure if it was the PWM or not. It was my buddy's computer, we were looking at it together. I thought it was the volts going to the injector though, but I could be wrong.
