IIRC those systems require the USB stick to be formatted in something specific... FAT32 comes to mind. Yes, they will not unzip for you {grin} but the filesystem on the stick also has to be the one supported by the helm hardware. Remember, these are not full fledged operating systems, they don't have drivers for all popular filesystem formats. Pretty sure FAT32 is what they want but I suspect Tige can confirm that. Worst case, they can confirm with Murphy.

I received a reply from Justin Herring and his response was that he normally only sends update if you have recently replaced the viper/medallion system because it frequently bricks the system. I mainly wanted to update so I could actually adjust the ballast timers but not worth the possibility of it bricking the whole thing.Comment
