    Marine power alternator

I believe my alternator is bad and so I took it to O'Rielly's. The machine they hook it up to test needs a part #. This is a 2007 24VE 340HP Marine Power. Is it the same as a 5.7L Vortex? It is already pulled out of boat and would like to test and rebuild if needed. Suggestions?

Its a 90A alt. IF it is built using a Delco housing, a part number may be stamped into one of the ears.

Thanks, found name plate under bar code sticker. (95A).After reading all these post on site I hope this is my problem and not the isolator.

Well, if OReillys says the alt test good, then let us know what your root problem is. Im guessing your Ve has the Tige EIDB dual battery setup?

Get a quote for the rebuild before going forward. I had mine rebuilt a few months ago, and then found that for an extra $30 I could have gotten a new one direct from Marine Power.
