    New minor problems!

Every weekend seems to bring up some new minor problems! On the 20min drive into the dock I noticed the engine temp was LOW.. usually I'm thinking it stays around 160ish..but this time it was staying at 97. I'm thinking thermostat stuck open?

Could be that or a bad sender. Low temp will mess with your computer and fuel delivery. Any other problems in the way the boat was running?

Well on the way I did the gauge diagonstic from the the touch screen every thing had good max and min deflection. While waiting for some ramp space I turned the motor off. 5-10 min later when i turned it back on the engine temp initally read 112 or so then started falling back down to 97ish. The motor sounded and ran fine, maybe i'll have to duplicate the problem in the driveway with the fakelake.

If you have a hot water shower, check to see if it gets hot. If the thermostat is stuck open, it never will get more than warm.

yep faulty thermostat! Easy 5min job, simply remove three bolts and lift off the upper housing to expose the thermostat. It was stuck in the open position. A little rusty this part snapped shut when i pressed it closed, put it in boiling water and it opened up again but lacks the spring tension to shut again.
Any way $11 part from Auto Zone for a generic 160 degree GM thermostat fixed it!
