    blue plug

anyone know where I can get these at? Also, where can I get teak oil, besides the marina?

I guess one disappeared on me, and I need to get one so I can get this boat going when it warms up

uh... hm.. yeah. it looks like one of the 3 drain valves for your cooling system.
check the video at the top of this page:
    http://www.mercurymarine.com/350_mag_mpi_ts_-_315_hp

its about 2 mins, 15 secs into the broadband version. Theres one on the front-left side, and two on the right side where the seawater pump is.

your dealer should have some. i asked last time i was there few weeks ago for just the rubber o-ring and he gave me some from a pack, had plenty of replacement plugs too.

cool, thanks banks, I"ll do that as well. I could use a few orings too, since it looks like I pinched one.

                teak stuff

                Dom,
I redid my platform this winter. By the 3 step stuff. Make sure you do the cleaner and brightener first. My platform now looks like new. I used 2 coats of oil on it. I did my buddy's heavily neglected platform also and it turned out really good.

I'll do that. Can you buy that stuff anywhere besides the dealer? it's so high priced, thought it might be cheaper elsewhere.

                        hey dom.
Let me know how those weights you are making work out.
I would be interested in some. What kind of cost are you talking about and how many pounds are you getting out of each?

Did you look at the link I gave in an ealier post? if not here is what they look like the finished product. The only thing i'm changing is the first two(one's with orange straps) I used spray on bedliner and it didnt' stick to the pvc. The second two(one's without straps) I used black duck tape. I just need to put straps on. I could make you some, the problem would be shipping, which I would think would be outrageous. Each one ways with in two pounds of 50 pounds(48-52). I could make them for 25 each. I'm not sure where you living at, but honestly it would probably be better to make your own. Or use this link to get water weight.

We call them Bomz the webbing is climbing webbing, with marine grade stitching so it won't rot

i never actaully used the teak specific stuff, good old cheap cooking spray works well unless your trying to refinsh it. here in colo it is really dry and i was having to do it about every 2-3 weeks to keep in prestine. i got tired of doing that so i rino lined the platform. it worked awesome!
going to do it on the new ride too.
