Closed cooling system

Is there a procedure for removing a closed cooling system and setting the boat up for an open cooling system? I have a 2004
24'v.

If you have vapor lock its not because of closed cooling, what engine do you have and describe problem , after all all the trucks we drive are closed cooling and the boats the same engine.
