Whenever I am cruising in rough water the throttle drops down on its own with every wave I hit. Causes the boat to speed up. I know I could just use the speed control but when I am cruising I like to adjust my speed with the throttle. My buddy has a 2004 22V and he doesn't have a problem with this. I am assuming it is because he has a cable throttle that takes more force to get it moving. Just wondering if there is a way to tighten up the throttle lever a bit so that it is not so sloppy?

My boat will do that too, the boats that have the heavier aluminum knobs and fly-by-wire will self accel in rougher water. As far as how to tighten the action.?.?.I am sure there is an adjustment on the backside of the throttle assembly. I took my panel off to diagnose an issue before and its a royal pain in the arse!
