    New Tige owner

So the saga begins. I have had a couple of boats previously, with my last being a 20' I/O that I bought new in 2005. Of course it quickly became too small. I was looking at upgrading to either Malibu, Sanger or Tige'. I found a 2004 24v local in my area. After taking a test run on the lake, I was sold on the boat. It had 99hrs, perfect hull with horrible custom decals and a very moldy interior. But it ran great and was a unbelievable price. So my project began. I first had all new upholstery installed, I had the damaged teak deck fixed and Line X'd ( I know all the controversy but it looks and works great), i had the decals all stripped and wet sanded and finally took it in for a service at a shop I had used before and never had a problem. The big first day out was father's day. It ran great except now the taps system wasn't working even though it worked fine in the test run. After doing some diagnostics on the lake, my son found 2 wires for the system under the dash cut clean. Reconnected the wires and heard the motor running but the switch wouldn't work. So getting it ready today for a week at Mead and figured out what seems to have happened. Seems when the upholstery was done, the throttle was reinstalled in the wrong position. When I took it in for the service they charged me extra to take the throttle off and realign it and i believe when they did that, they broke wires at the base of the throttle causing it ground and they heard the taps motor running and just cut a couple of wires to make it stop. So now I'm hoping the new Tige' shop in Henderson will be able to help me rewire the switch through the throttle so I can get my Taps working for the week. what kind of place does that? Answer: one that I will never use again.

Good luck on getting it fixed right up. Let us know how it goes.

And congrats on the boat. Hopefully it brings you years of joy. We love pics around here of everyone's boat - so post some up!

Congrats and welcome! Post some pics when you can. If Mead is a regular trip, we have our annual Mead Tigeowners weekend coming up in Sept. Come on out and meet some other Tige (on some former) Tige owners.

What tower do you have!?!? I love it! Also love the tinted windows I plan on having mine done this week.

I wanna replace my Krap tower and I was seeing what my options were other than a Monster tower.

Your not gonna find one of those towers new. They are out of business. FWIW, it an Xtreme Phat Tower. I agree though, good lookin towers. They were one of the first real stable towers as well.
