    Possible trans problems

The last couple times out my boat has been doing something weird. At first it was under a load With fat sacs full. It would rev up really high and not go. I was told maybe the prop was cavitating. But now it is doing it with out a load. Tonight I had only 550ibs in back and my kids where wakeboarding. It only did it a couple of times but im getting worried it is a trans problem. Any info or suggestions would be great. Thanks

When was the last service performed. Have you checked fluid levels. Simple and cheap stuff first. Shear the woodruff key on the prop? That one is not likely, but possible the prop is spinning on the shaft.

IF your transmission is slipping, the fluid will smell burnt and most likely look a deep brown color. Change and flush it at least two times, running in gear in between and see if that solves the problem. But, when a transmission starts to slip, the clutches are fried from low fluid pressure and it will need a rebuild or a new one.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
