    6.2 ltr. Mercruiser in 22V?

I'm going to look at an '03 22V that is advertised to have the 6.2 ltr. Mercruiser engine in it this evening. I've not seen this option before in all of my shopping and was wondering if they actually put that engine in the 22V. Does anyone know for sure?

Also, I don't know anything about this engine (as opposed to the 5.7 and 6.0 GM blocks). Is this an actual GM LS engine or is it a stroked 5.7?

If anyone can point me to more info, it would be greatly appreciated.

If its truely a 6.2 it would have to be a stroked 5.7 in that year, in my opinion.

I have a 6.2L in my 2003 22V. Engine runs great. From my understanding it is a stroked chevy block.

I finally found some stuff on the web last night with the details. It is a stroked 5.7 from what I found. Both the 5.7 and 6.2 have a bore of 4.0". The standard 5.7 stroke is 3.48" and the 6.2 has a 3.75" stroke so there is the difference. I don't know if this is actually different than the standard 383 GM stroker or not as the calculated displacement would be 377 for that stroke. Rounding error?

Thanks for the replies at any rate. I saw the boat and it was ROUGH so passed on it anyway. It actually had a PCM Excalibur engine in it as well. Probably not a good idea to buy from a guy that neither takes care of his equipment or even knows what it is.

        Best,
        Dreddy
