Last season my steering was perfect. Pulled boat out for the new season and can hardly turn the steering wheel. Could the cable have gone bad already or could it be the rudder?

Your cable probably froze up during the off season. You should grease the stuffing box to see if it helps but probably not going to. I just ordered a new cable for my 22i cause I couldn't turn either. it was $ 107 shipped. Good luck -
I have an 05 22V i ordered an 18 foot cable for it. it was super easy to change just read the how to section for steering cables and it will give you a good idea. Im sure your 03 22v will be close to mine so it should be easy let me know if you have any issues and I can try and help walk you through them.Comment
