Awsome dude! Hell of project. It's got a 13th Floor on it! How is that thing? It was one of the towers I was considering when I was tower shopping. They are extremely few and far between. I don't think anybody on here has ever mentioned having one.

That should be a good little boat for you. Thanks for posting it up. Keep us updated on it.

Yeah, its been a project, but not as big as the last one I did (was an old bayliner that I completely rebuilt, including ripping out the deck so it was just a bare hull then completely rebuilding the boat from the hull up, replacing decking, fiberglass, etc, including the outboard).
The tower is actually pretty good, I like it, although I have to unbolt the rear two tower bolts to get the thing in my shop!. My friend said it was one of the early 13th floor towers and he had the tower on the boat for quite a few years. I am fortunate enough to know the previous owner of the boat (friend of mine) and we used the boat this last summer before the swamping, the boat and tower worked very well. I feel fortunate to have such a nice little boat, I am just looking forward for the weather to turn here so we can enjoy it. I will post pics of it completed and on the water as soon as it stops raining!

They are definitely one of the better looking towers out there. I just could never actually manage to put my hands to one in order to check it out so, I had to go a different direction.

ok, quick update. lake tested the boat, was a great day. Only a couple of small problems, the transmission had no neutral and the engine stumbled and fell flat at about 3600 rpm. The shop that rebuilt the trans and engine warrantied the trans (swapped it out) so that is taken care of, I am assuming the stumbling is due to fuel starvation, I might have pinched the fuel line when reinstalling the tank. Any other suggestions or possible solutions? The engine runs great right up till around 3600 - 3800 rpm then you can feel the engine lose power like its starved of fuel. I will post more pics of the boat as I get them, its almost done now. Cannot wait to hit the water, although that is going to be a while as I broke my wrist, elbow, shoulder, and three ribs in a MTB accident two weeks ago.

WOW! that is a great ballast thread! You did a TON of work to that boat, it might be something we look at this winter when we redo the upholstery. It would be awesome to just be able to ballast down automatically when we want to wakeboard. I feel another project coming on!!!

Is there anyway you could snap a photo of the bottom side of the center ski pylon of how it bolts down? have the same boat and mine is very loose

If I remember right the pylon slides down and sits in a cup type fitting that is attached to the hull. On that cup there should be three set screws offset 120 deg apart. (I think they are 1/2" hex bolts...but I've been wrong before). If you reach in the bilge area infront of the crank pulley you should feel them. Tighten those three bolts. I do this every other year.

That plate with the slots should be bolted to the hull.

Thats what I was thinking but I wasnt for sure.. from the looks of it I will have to remove that front fin and put no bolts through cause it all looks in rough condition

Just traded a friend of mine a golf cart for his 1995 model. So far
Interior out. But looking at this I want new carpet. Called the local tige dealer and seems Taylor made bought out water bonnet. My glass is ok. The window frame is in rough shape. So the bulk heads come out so you can lay cardept all the way to the bow?
