    TAPS Stuck

Hey Guys! 2003 22V Taps is in "wakeboard" position and when I hit the throttle switch you can see the gauge try to work almost as if the plate is stuck. Does anyone have any experience with this problem. It has power and my guess would be that it is stuck but I didn't want to break anything without advice.

    Thanks!

If yours is hydraulic, check the fluid level.

Thanks! Don't want to sound like a complete idiot - however I am.... How would I go about doing that. There is one "wire" entering the inside of the boat which goes through the transom onto the top of the TAPS arm. It does look as if it would be a fluid based system but where would the fluid be? Thanks again for your help....

Mine is in the starboard side V locker behind the rear panel.

Was able to check and it is not hydraulic. Looks like direct electrical from the transom "hole" to the panel. Should I just replace the arm. Again it feels like it is just stuck as the gauge "wants" to move. Thoughts?

First, check your battery voltage on both batteries - if good -

can you find something that looks like this?

The TAPS on my 2008 is hydraulic and this is located aft of a panel in the Starboard locker.

Mine is manufactured by Bennett - here is their website.

Is '03 the year they used the Lenko electric tabs? Anyone? It was only one year and then they went back to Bennett Hydraulic tabs.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
