    Help please!

I recently replaced the low pressure fuel pump in my 2007 22 Ve', 360 HP MP. My son took the boat out, and realized shortly thereafter the alternator was not charging, and the battery died. When I went out to rescue him with a fresh battery, the engine would turn over strongly, but would run extremely rough for 10-15 seconds, then shut down. We towed it home, got the alternator rebuilt, charged the battery, and now the engine will not start at all! It turns over strongly, but no fire. Is there a fuse or something somewhere I can check? I might think it was my new fuel pump install job, but it ran fine for 20-30 minutes. I also have new Iridium spark plugs (could not find the original plugs). Could they be a problem?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like it is going into limp mode. My boat had similar symtoms. It was loose conections under the helm. Loose fuse conections under the helm and back by the battery. Check them all. Also I had gotten bad fuel at the boat dock and it would run like that some times. Could be some water in the fuel.
