    Battery Charger Question - Wiring

I bought a Pro Sport 20 Plus. It can handle up to three batteries, but I only have two currently. The 3rd will be added later this season.

Below is how I have it wired up along with how my batteries are wired up. Before buying this charger I had both batteries out of the boat charging about two weeks ago (both batteries are less than a year old). I plugged the charger in last night, and when I came out this morning it still was showing that it was charging the batters.

The diagrams from Pro Mariner do show anything close my batter configuration. Am I possibly causing harm to my batteries with this charger and my current battery configuration?

Which banks was still showing to be charging? I would suspect a bad battery on that bank. And it was still in "Charge" mode and not "Float/Maintain" mode, right?

I see nothing out of sorts with the diagram above. The batteries are isolated from each other during charging, correct?

I have the same charger, also hooked up to only two batts for now. I found the following comment at the very end of the product manual: If only two batteries are used with a 3 bank charger, than connect the unused output cable to either one of the two batteries...

So, I connected two of the output leads to my deep cell house batt, and one output to the cranking batt. I can't remember off the top of my head if I went with #1&2 to the house and #3 to the cranking, or if it was #1 to the cranking and #2&3 to the house. Anyway, I do remember confirming it with chpthril to ensure a proper hookup.

The ProSport doesn't have individual lights for each bank. I believe they are isolated. The battery switch is set to off, and the only thing connected between the two batteries is just the negative posts like in my diagram.

Dingle, BRILLIANT! I just opened up the manual, and sure enough that line is in there. This is my theory after reading this, and it's only a theory. Is that since the 3rd lead wasn't connected it thought that a batter was still needing to be charged. What do you think?

Could be. But, then again, I am an electrical idiot, and anything I think is probably wrong.

CHP, I just metered the batteries before I put it back in storage. My cranking battery was showing 12.76 volts, and my house battery was showing 12.74 volts. So I don't think my batteries are dead. I believe it's user error.

Those static voltage levels are fine. With the Tige EIDB, the batteries will be isolated from each other during charging.

Im willing to bet that the charger was monitoring all the banks, including the 3rd bank that was not attached. Attach it to the house bank and recharge.

Right on CHP! You wouldn't happen to sell the extension cables for this charger would you?
