I just bought a 2007 rz2 and am trying to make sure everything works properly. When I turn the key forward one click and hit my cruise button, the display changes to speed control but when I press the up arrow to adjust speed up, the numbers on the display stay at 0.0. The only thing I can conclude is that the boat actually has to be running. My friend has a 08 z1 and his will adjust without the motor running. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Actually he's my buddy. Welcome to tigeowners, bud. We are working on his integrated ballast system along with mine. Been a fun winter full of projects on both our boats. We just installed a new stereo system in his boat and drilled his thru hulls yesterday for his ballasts.

That's when we noticed his speedset doesn't set. We went and checked it out on my tige and mine sets without the engine running. Weird.

I have never tried setting it without it on. I would test mine for you but the batteries are out. I can check it for you when I put them in if you haven't already found an answer.

Can't recall if i asked geek before, but do you guys go to American Falls Reservoir or are there some smaller better lakes?

We do spend time there. Its great in the early part of the year, but the water gets a little gross later on. Its about 45 minutes from us. The water has been real high the last few years and most the beaches have been under water. Hopefully that will change in the next few years.

I have a 07 22ve that had the same problem with the speed set. It is broken, and they are VERY proud of the part. I think it was in the $1000 range. I could use mine for while since the up worked. I just had to reset if I wanted to go a little slower.

First off welcome to the site! Congrats on the new boat! Is the cruise control switch set to on? Guess it would need to be or else pressing the up/down buttons would just change the display between the various settings. I don't think I have ever tried setting the cruise on mine with the engine not running so I don't have a definite answer on that one.

I have a 07 RZ2 and when I turn the key on (without the engine running), flip the cruise control switch on, I can set the cruise speed. I had to replace my touch pad at the end of last summer and it was close to 1500 dollars.

I have the black oval with the arrows on the sides. I would suggest letting your dealer diagnose the problem there are several components wired together to allow the speedset to work properly. It may be something simple.
