I have had some issues with the tige speedset and throttle control for my boat. one issue is that I can no longer toggle through the various screens for the heads-up display. All I can do is set the speed set for wake boarding and wake surfing, and if a rider falls when coming back to pick them up, if the throttle is set back to neutral, when reengaging the throttle the boat idles but does not engage the v-drive. If I shut down the motor by turning the ignition switch to off, this will (I believe) reboot the computer and basically reset the system back to normal to reengage the throttle to activate the v-drive and power up the boat/motor. Last summer I sent the boats computer back to Tige to re-flash for updated software. When I installed the new computer under the dash board the same issues reoccurred with the throttle going dead and having to restart the boat to reboot the computer. Has anyone dealt with this problem, and if so was there a solution?

2008 22ve re flashed tige computer
Thank you for your input, I noticed that even if the battery isolator switch is in the off position I still draw power for the stereo and 2 amps, and can also light up the switches on the dash board. Does this also explain why I can't toggle through the additional screens on the Tige Speedset Control Panel, because there is not enough power supplied to the boats computer? I used to be able to make minute speed adjustments while the cruise control was set, but of late just setting the speedset was all that I could muster. It seems that if you are running the boat on the lake at speed for several hours, the alternator would recharge the batteries. I don't think I have had a problem restarting the motor due to battery drain, in order to reboot the boats computer???

Have you replaced the batteries or are they the ones that came from the factory. I also have an 08 and I am replacing all of them this year.
You might also want to check for loose connections.

Sorry, again thanks for your help. I have a 2 battery set-up but they are looped together and having spent sometime in that locker of the boat I'm pretty sure all the connections are good. Perhaps what I will need to do is wire in a dual isolator switch and figure out a way to eliminate power draw while the switch is in the off position.

2008 22ve re flashed tige computer
I appreciate everyones time and interest concerning this matter. What I am describing are issues which occur when I have activated the Tige Speedset and cruise control. The situation arises when the cruise control is set and I have to return the throttle to neutral. The boat when the throttle is engaged in forward or reverse doesn't respond. The motor is still running at an idle rpm, but won't go anywhere. My temporary solution is one where I shut down the motor and restart the engine. I believe this process reboots the boats computer (black unit located under the dash board) and starts fresh, and most of the time I can activate the boat to move forward or reverse again. This is only a temporary solution as this issue reoccurs throughout the day. And can happen infrequently, sometimes no problems or having to restart the motor. I have read in the Tige owners manual about the throttle input with relation to the boats motor. This model year and newer Tiges do not have metal cables being pushed through a plastic sleeve from the throttle bode to a lever on the accelerator. It is all managed via electrical impulses from the throttle regulated with the boats computer and to the motors CMU and EFI (respectfully computer module unit and electronic fuel injection). This makes for an instantaneous response and is known as "fly by wire" technology like a modern plane utilizes. I read about some blogs last summer in this forum. The responses I found centered around the boats computer and operational systems i.e. the Speedset and Tige cruise control system. Some people were having situations arise after the Speedset/cruise control was on and the boat would speed up on it's own, would be stuck at speed, or the throttle would illicit no response from the driver. Some people responded by stating they had taken their boats back to the dealership and getting some help if not marginal, and some said they had to send the computer back to Tige's technical support department to have the computer re-flashed with new software. By doing this sometimes it eliminated the issues, had marginal improvement, or did not help at all. So late last summer Tige sent me a new computer with re-flashed software, and during my last trip out the same issues kept haunting me!!!

too lazy right now to read ail your posts, but has the TPS on the throttle control asm been replaced? Sounds like a bad TPS. My entire powertrain is PCM, perhaps you have something different?

For any one reading this thread, the long and the short of it was a variety of issues. For one, I had to replace the potentiometer, this magical device is located in the throttle assembly behind the upholstered panel where the throttle is mounted. It is a black plastic coil which regulates the amount of electronic impulse delivered by the throttle position, and is delivered to the motor/power plant. Takes a little time to get to as I did not remove the upholstered panel to replace, and found my iphone of help as I would snap a couple of pics to see how the assembly is situated behind the panel. Secondly I completely revised my battery situation by installing a dual battery switch, a dual battery relay module which discerns the draw from the cranking battery versus the stereo, and made sure to have 2 deep cycle batteries as apposed to 2 different types of batteries. Lastly ended up replacing the Tige Speedset control panel, which was not allowing me to switch through the different menu options or control the speedset. After all that, then installed an integrated ballast system, and Boo Yeah ALL GOOD! The lesson here is that many Tige boat issues or problems can be found and addressed within this forum. If not, calling various dealerships can help; ultimately the more components and electronics that are engineered into these floating technological marvels, the greater the chance for things to go awry! It's when everything comes together, then the real magic begins because fighting these pesky issues is time consuming and aggravating as hell! Also, many thanks to the people who responded to the call of my concerns, I would not consider myself a boat or car mechanic, but do have some mechanical inclination as well as lot's of dogged determination.
