Pretty much restoring my 2100v Limited... Help wanted :)

Wow, its been years lol. Anyways got my Tige down here finally from Tennessee and everything is just shot from sitting. Cover is ripped from snow, sun dried, I can put a hole in it with my finger, interior is destoryed from critters crawling in it and the engine could use some attention. I've been working on it here and there for awhile now but im ready to give it my full attention everynight when I get off work.

This is pretty much where im at:
    Refer to video one
Before this video (video was recorded 6 months ago and boat has not been touched since then) really bad before hand. If I remember right I put new plugs in it before it was parked a few years ago and has not been ran. What else should I replace to ensure good igition, timing, what ever. Anything to get full performance out of it.

Right now I have the interior out of it and stripped and im attempting to recover everything myself in grey. Save me alot of money doing so and it won't get dirty as easy being its not white.

Tried to turn it over the other night and I could hear the cylinoid on the starter clicking but nothing happening with a new battery AND charger... Tried jumping it with a screw driver and still nothing. Well the starter looked rusted as hell for some reason so I Just ordered a new one so Im kind of on a stand still as far as trying to start it for now.

I do need help on which ignition switch I need because mine went bad and gotta jam a screw in the side of it to hold it in the ON position. Links would be helpful!
Also recommendations on what to replace on the motor like mentioned to insure I get good perfomance and reliability out of it.

Anything else I can think of Ill post

OH YEAH! I want to replace the Impellar on it, where is it on these motors? How much do they cost? Thanks!

New interior and some parts painted and that thing will look great. The gel coat will buff out and wetsand and it will look great.

I just realized I have that same part in stock... Awesome lol

              Thanks!

Yeah working on the interior now... Its not gonna be perfect but itll work. All the wood was rotten too so I've had to make all of that all over again too but it will be close enough. I gotta look in my catalogue and see if I can find new switches. Sometimes they work sometimes they dont. The gel coat is still in awesome shape. but the white along the top and the very back are faded but lucky me, I got a great detail guy who works for me that will hook me up

Go to this website to find all your parts using your engine serial number (should be on top of the plastic intake cover). They have diagrams for everything that show you what every part is. Then you can buy the parts from them or use the Mercruiser part numbers to search for better deals online or cross reference them to aftermarket parts, etc.

I'm restoring my '00 2100V top to bottom right now so I'll post some pictures when I get it back to give you some additional ideas.

Nice boat man! How did you come by that thing? Sounds like she is running well.. How is the steeering in her? I'm about to undo the shrinkwrap on mine and start workinging the new steering cable in for mine as the last few years was getting pretty bad. I know they have cover on Amazon for older models as well for around 900 or so. Not sure you're budget but you have a boat you will want to protect from the elements now! Congrats brother. I didn't get my first Ski boat until I was 23.

Sorry for not posting lately just now got back to it. Interior is mainly done and I dont think its bad for a staple gun job. Made a new engine cover today since it was lost in the move (plus it was rotted out) and got that installed. Waiting on new impellar to arrive in the mail and im gonna try and get that put back in one night after work because im planning a huge boarding trip on Tuesday since the lake levels are back up. Sooo im praying it runs well...

h20, it was my parents boat back before they devorced and then it sat up north rotting itsself away and everything was ruined when I went back up for it. Now I have it down here in FLorida from Tennessee and i've been fixing everything in my spair time and when funds are available. I have many other projects also I try and fit in also but right now im focused on this now that the lake levels are up and I thought that would never happen.

Heres my Impellar... Just replaced it, working perfectly. First time I did that. Then after I did it I found the thread that shows u how. ugh.

Heres me constructing the new front seats since the other ones are rotted and lost. Waiting on more vinyl to come in to finish.

After over a year of work comes June 26, 2012... The first day the boat has seen water in nearly 3-4 years. I was so anxious to get it to the water we decided to head out while we had a break in rain during Tropical storm Debby. In this phone is my best friend who has helped me alot and who has learned alot with this project is Dalton, his fiance Katie and his little sister Ashton who is new to wakeboarding and quickly progressing. And Im taking the picture lol

Went out today! ill start another thread for that. But Cliffs: got to ride behind the boat after teaching Dalton how to pull a boarder. Stereo sounded awesome, wake was awesome, busted *** a few times getting used to jumping the wake again after being at the cable park so long but it eventually came back to me and I was out in the flats before it was over. Over all a good day...

Of course you can never make it out without SOMETHING going wrong. Well the last time we went out we got a rope in the prop. This time it was a wheel bearing. Wheel nearly fell off. the rear bearing was in pieces. The front bearing was wore out but held the wheel on. TOok it slow to the ramp and just took the wheel off after we got there cause we were more than half way there and basically said screw it lets go.

Hoping to have it done tomorrow night.
