ballast question

I think I have a ballast pump or something on my right rear that lets water just fill at will? I know the four pumps are located right at the bottom of the boat and all look to be setup the same way?

but having a hard time keeping my port side from washing out. just seems that either my left back fills slower then tige touches math in the fill rate.... or my starboard side fills faster?

I guess teh million dollar question i am looking for is this.. I can not seem them, but can hear them, but where are the drain pumps on a 2011 rz 4 located? are they under the floor by the tanks?

Check the routing of the fill lines, there should be a loop but if not it should arc as high as possible in the boat before going into the tank. Since the tank is below the water line some water is being siphoned into the tank because the line is not looped high enough to prevent the siphon action from starting. Your dealer should have checked for this before delivery, but they know what to look for and it's an easy fix for them.

great help on this one... makes complete sense when you state it like that... I will check it out.. dealer is a bit away so I think i can fix this.. just was not making anysense to me.

used to have a 07 moomba.. and my valves had a switch on them that I had once or twice flipped on accident.. but on these johnson pumps did not see that to be possible.

Are you allowing the pumps to run until the tank purges out of the vent line or kicking them off when the screen shows 100%?

I would calibrate the ballast gauges first. Then when you fill to board, make sure both rear tanks are purging.

yeah I tried that way ... had them all purging and then dumped them... reset teh timers.. you name it... but just seems no matter what I do either the back right always has more water in it... either its taking water in.. or pumps more water on faster... or drains slower... but from all the things i have tried so far... my hunch is that its adding water while being driven?

the first ride of the day is so clean as the wake goes.. but by the forth rider seems harder and hard to keep the wake on the port side clean... not matter how much water i add to the port side. and drain from the right?

last time out I added 75% to the left and what was suposed to be 25% to the right.. and the one with 25% took longer to drain.. but watching them dump... seems like same flow... so I am guessing taking water on while driving?

Odds are, the fill pump plumbing is allowing some passive filling while underway. This will require, at a minimum, some rerouting of the fill hose to get it higher then the tank. This adds some head-pressure to the line, and this is enough to hold back some slight force created under way.

Have you tried starting the day with the tanks empty, then checking them for water after a couple of hours? If one of the tank drains some, you know its passively filling.
