I have a 2000 21V. Backed off the throttle and it acted like it ran out of gas. It tried to restart a couple times. Maybe ran for a second or 2. Now nothing. Anyone have any ideas.

Fuel Problem?

On mine, any loose connection on the temp sending units, hobbs switch, or pressure switches and the fuel pump will stop running. My fuel pump makes a discernable noise when it runs, so it's pretty easy to know when it's the problem. I'd check the connections to all the sending units loop.
If you arent mechanical, then you will likely need some pics to point out which devices these are on your motor. Hit me up if you need.So this monkey walks into a bar...

If it squirts fuel, then fuel aint your issue. If its not fuel... well then it's ignition.
There are many threads in here about injected boats. Do a search, and if you get a sec, send ChpThril a message about it. He's a wizard with the injected boats, as are a few others in here.So this monkey walks into a bar...

I disconnected the fuel line to the rail and a fair amount of gas came out of the rail. I'm beginning to think it may be an ignition problem as bigdaddy says.
