Transmission issue

This was a new one today, after towing surfers for some time I put boat into neutral then forward and now power, Tried reverse also no power, shut off engine and restart and power is restored until it happens again 30 minutes later.

Anyone ever heard of this? and possible a solution?

Does your boat have a sea strainer, if not pull the hose off of the trans cooler and check for blockage.
