    Automatic Blower Control

I have heard (not sure if its true) that the 2010+ Tige's are using an automatic blower controller to keep the blower running at lower speeds ie no wake and idle, and shut it off at higher speeds, while also keeping it running for 2 minutes after you start the engine.

So my 1st question is this accurate?

2nd would be, is there some sort of lockout timer that its to not let you start the engine for 4 minutes after you start the blower switch?

I read a review on boat test .com or something like that where the blower is set to on with tigetouch and when you turn the key to on and the electronics spin up, the blower turns on.

I run my blower all day long. And before I start the engine I open the hatch and try to get a whiff of the engine bay, as deep as possible. When the cheap factory blower craps out I'll get a better squirrel cage style blower that is meant to run continuous. I run the blower all day to provide cool fresh air to the engine and to ventilate the compartment in case of a fuel leak. I know the engine can handle sucking in fresh air when underway but I just like to help it out a bit. My technique, take it for what it's worth.

I have always ran my blower all day long no matter what boat I had, from pre start until its back on the trailer.

On my 2011 the blower comes on automatically and runs for 5 minutes. You can cut it off by going to switches menu and touch blower,it will change to off. There is also a manual override switch under the dash.

I am interested in hearing what after market squirrel cages or other blower units have been successfully adapted to our Tiges. I think that factory blower is anemic.

Yes, but WHEN does it come on? Magically before you start the engine 4 minutes beforehand it reads your mind?

When you power the helm up.

I havent heard any responses of this being tied to slow wake speed/low rpm?

It is not tied to a slow speed, sounds like Roberts is on a timer, it does not come on 4 min before engine start, you would need to power up the helm for 4 min before engine start or open the engine hatch like I do to help ventilate the area faster.

Here is what I put in my old boat and I'll probably do it for my Tige too.
