    Speedometer and cruise

I have been having some trouble with the speedometer on my 2007 24ve. It appears to be recieving false readings as to the speed. we were cruising around 4200rpms and could not get te speedometer to consistantly read above 20mph (on smooth water). I believe this is affecting the cruise control also (very inconsistant/ jumpy). Can anyone one steer me in the right direction?

Also, having trouble finding a new tower that can use the original mounting holes. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Did you check the paddle wheel under the boat? Does it spin freely, and alge or sticks get caught there?

I'm no help to you on the tower question, I know others have mounted the tower they wanted and had the old holes glasses over to match the boat so you don't know they were there.

Sounds like a broken paddle wheel.

Going to be hard to find an aftermarket tower that will fit the exact footprint and existing holes, but have you checked with your Tige dealer to see if Tige still has any left in stock?

Samson custom made my tower to fit the existing holes in the boat and did a really great job.

I've had this problem 3 times before, once on my boat and 2 other times on customers boats.

I'm not sure what paddle wheel assy you have, but if is the one that bolts to your lower transom on the lower right side, check to make sure it is actually "locked" down. These have a "break" away feature, so if you hit something the will pop out of the locking groove. You can't tell by just looking at it. Take ONE finger and push up on the paddle wheel, does it pivot up? If so gently push the paddle wheel housing down until you hear a click. If you hear a crack, you've pushed to hard..just teasing. Again be gentle.
