    Chrome Decal FELL OFF!!!

My 2009 22Ve chrome decal fell the F* OFF!!

This only happened on one side, and it was not bumping a pier or fender or anything out out the ordinary, I am pretty sure the glue just lost hold. Dealer ordered the replacement and now I have the task of cleaning off the old sticky glue residue, cleaning the gelcoat, then re-applying the new decal. Any ideas or tips on how to clean this old glue off so i don't damage the gelcoat or decal or paintjob in the process? Pix below.

acetone will take it right off with a few wipes and the surface will be prepped for reapplication. Be sure to re-wax (use marine wax with a UV protectant)the area after the new decal is applied

IMO... use "Goof Off".. i works perfect and wont hurt your gel coat.. ive used this product for years and also cleans the area for new adhesive.. wouldnt use wd-40.. leaves oil residue..good luck

Use a blow dryer and peel it off with your fingers or use goo gone, and then apply some wax to that area.
