    prop for 21 V

I bent the prop on my 2000 Tige 21 V Fox Edition yesterday. Idle speed on shallow, sand bottom. Anyone know what the best route to take......new or repair????? Also...I know it's a 4 blade brass....but not sure what pitch. After the contact it had a vibration....normally pretty smooth ride.
Is there anything else I need to check over?

Any suggestions on replacements other than stock??

Try an Acme 537, it will give you good holeshot with not much if any loss in top speed.

Get the prop repaired. It will be cheaper than a new prop and will perform like new. I have damaged my prop a couple of times, and my prior stainless on my I/O several times. It comes with the territory.

To see the damage to my prop click this link. This damage was easily fixed for $110.00. Most prop shops will let you use a prop puller by putting a deposit on the puller. Don't bang on the prop to get it off, use the puller.

That's probably where I'm headed....my bend is no where near as bad as yours was....so if you were able to get that one repaired, mine should be easy. There's a local prop guy here that handles all the local lake marina's prop jobs, and I'm sure he can fix it.
Any chance my drive line may be out of line or something??? Like I said, it was idle speed, very slow.......wife driving....enough said.

Do you already have a spare prop? You might want to buy a new Acme prop as suggested, it will probably out perform your current 4 blade. Then have your prop repaired and use that one for the spare. Just my .02. If you already have a spare, don't bother. The repair will do just fine. I don't know about the drive line maybe someone else will know.

              high $300's

spin your propshaft by hand and make sure it turns with the equal amount of resistance the whole way around. if it is tight and won't turn or is unequal in resistance she might have a bent strut.

Highly doubtful. That is one thick drive shaft and you would have to do a real hard hit to damage the shaft. At idle speed there would not be enough energy to damage the prop shaft. The props are soft to protect the drive components.

The shaft will turn with some difficulty from the friction in the bushings in the support piller. You cannot just simply spin the prop, you will have to use force to turn the prop. So do not be concerned about the effort. This level of effort was even required on a new boat on the showroom floor.

If you want the Acme 537 like lee recommends it costs $349 at Propellers.com. Not to qustion lee's suggestion, but you can always check with ACME Proppellers to check your boat specs and operating environment. They can help dial it in just right 1-888-661-ACME. They are awesome!

Thanks guys....this is an awesome forum here! This is my first real wake boat.....and I actually work for Fox and know most of the top wake athletes.....but little about the boats. I don't feel like I can ask a dumb question on here.....and that helps a lot when you go from a Sea Ray to a Tige...and none of your friends own V drives!
