    Throttle Deadband

I have a 2009 22Ve with PCM EX-343...after i shift out of neutral into FWD, the boat moves along just fine at idle speed, BUT, to go any faster you have to move the throttle forward about another 25 degrees before any further "throttle" gets applied.

Meaning, there seems to be a dead spot between the initial FWD engagement, and the throttle position which moves you faster FWD. Is this normal? If not any way to adjust this?

I had something like this happen.. then it just stopped working.. when I took the panel off by the throttle I found that a little cotter pin holding the linkage had broken.. not sure if this is the same but it might help..

Mine (2009 24Ve w/ EX343) works exactly like that. I was surprised how far the throttle lever must be moved to bring the RPM's off of idle. But it does seem to work correctly.
