    PerfectPass question

On my '99 21V Riders Ed. I have PP that's been working fine, until today I noticed the speed showing is approx 9-10 mph slower than actual. I can understand adjusting for 2-3mph but not that much. Is there any reason for this and is there some type of system reset I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can do a factory reset by holding the top two buttons down while turning the key to the on position and then follow the directions on the display.

      No MPH reading

Thanks, I did a sys reset and now the speedo does not read speed. It stays at "0", rpm works but not the speedo. Any other suggestions???

Look at the paddle wheel on the bottom and make sure you have four paddles on the wheel or if anything is stopping it from spinning freely.

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. Turned out that I crushed my paddle wheel when I put my boat on the lift (the bunks where too far apart). Luckily I only damaged the paddle wheel and not the housing. After changing to the spare wheel, and adjusting the bunks all was well.

Make sure it is out of the water.

Then just remove the plug from the inside and change out the wheel and the "O" rings.

If the bunks on your hoist are not properly spaced there is a good chance you will crush the paddle wheel again.

Unfortunately for me my original cradle beams did not have the adjustable type bunk brackets so I had to replace the beams. The good news is that I have not crushed the wheel since.

                Good luck.
