The relay that controls the TAPS system has failed and the dealer in my area said that its obselete. On top of that they threw out the bad one and its gone. I now am lost as to what direction to go. I really want this fixed quickly but the age of the boat limits the specs I can find. Any help would be great.

Perhaps a new throttle unit would be do-able. Somebody here might also know where to find one of those switches. Scrap Tiges are extremely rare but, you never know. Have you tried looking around for one? Just stay patient and someone will have the fix for you.You'll get your chance, smart guy. -
Here is a link for the switch. You should be able to substitute another relay if you can get the specs. If the shop threw it away, I would be all over them to be finding a replacement!!

I found a replacement for mine at an auto parts store. There should be two and they are identical. On mine, one controls extend and the other retract. If you still have the other one, just match it up. keep track of how they are wired.Comment
