    Sustained Beep Alarm ???

So i have a 2004 22v Riders edition w/135hrs the boat runs great at cruising and riding speeds but if I really lay on the throttle (usually 30Mph+) a sustained beep will come on, even when the alarm comes in it doesn't effect the performance and the alarm doesn't go away untill i turn the ignition off and restart. The temp reads fine as does the oil pressure but the fuel gauge is currently not working, i thought it might be that but then wouldn't the alarm be in all the time??

Check the trans and v-drive fluid.

Checked all the fluids and they are OK, i've been snooping around this site and found a similiar thread with what sounded like same problem happening and it turned out that their knock sensor wasn't connected....checked mine, it was connected but was very rusted and seems like the connection wouldn't be that good simply because the style of connectors that are used. I haven't been able to test the boat yet but i'll post once i do....

It's possible for the trans fluid temp alarm to activate from a small amount of blockage at the trans cooler and still show normal engine temps. Check the inlet to the trans cooler for debris or blockage.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
