    Propeller storage case?

Anyone use either of these options to store your prop? Wondering if they are worth the money or if anyone has other cheaper options? I think I want something more than just a plastic tote.

I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I have the 2nd one. I did notice that it can mildew if left in the boat over a long time. Other than that I have had no issues.
If its not fun, Why do it?

I have the second. It is sill new and has not been used, I am waiting for spring to change my prop.

I don't recall what I paid, bought several things at once, but got mine through Cpthril on here. He is good to work with.

I have the second one as well and no problems. I take it out of the boat each time we go to make sure the case and carpet it usually sits on both dry out each time.

I have the second one and it works well for the spare prop and tools. Yes, it does mildew if left in the boat. My fault.

I planned on buying the second one this spring. I found them previously closer to $99.99 though, either prices went up or that site is priced high.

The $159.00 price on the Bakes site for the ACME kit with the C-clamp puller is MSRP.

$99 is below dealer cost. Are you sure that was for the part #4999 ACME kit with the C-clamp or was that for one with the harmonic?

I also got the 2nd one. Works well. I think I paid $129.00 from WWS in Denver.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree the price was high for the second one. I'm liking the idea of the hard case in the first option I guess. Seems like more protection I guess. Not too much $$ increase. I'll keep thinking about it. My Acme 537 (using as a spare) is suppose to be on its way. I guess I'm not in much of a rush until the ice is gone.

I was wrong, the part I priced for 99.99 (and now it is more) was from overton's and it was a case for the tools only, not big enough for the spare prop. Glad I found out now and not after I ordered it.

chptrhil - like Dave S, how much for shipping to Houston area - 77494? I just bought the boat in Dec and have no spare prop. I assume this will work for my 2004 22v? Also, you could ship this at the same time as the rubber pole holder thingy you were ordering for me as well.
