    Tap-to-Start

I have a 2009 22Ve with the 343 engine, I believe the last time I went to start the engine it had the feature many cars do nowadays where you simply turn the key to start the ignition cycle, let go, and the ECM will take over cranking the engine until it starts......can anyone confirm that our boats have this feature?

I want to say that my 2007 22Ve is that way and it is the Marine Power engine.

The nautiques don't even need a key, just a pass code like for a door entry to a car. I would like to see that feature put on.
          GO BIG!!

The only reason I dont like the touch pad , is if your pad acts up i cant talk a customer through the procedure on how to jump the ignition to get back in, but with the key switch thats still possible.
We have had the nautique pads fail, the other bad thing is once you have a few years on the boat you can tell what the code is by the wear marks on the pad.

How lazy have we become that we cannot turn and hold a key to start our boats! Give me the simple any time. Much easier and cost effective when something goes wrong. When my ignition switch seized up and wouldn't turn, bought one at the local Auto Zone and replaced with the boat in the water. Sure saved that weekend. Can't do that with an electronic pad. That said, sure would trade mine for a new RZ2 if it was possible.:-)
