    21i steering 2000 MPI 350

Was just woundering if you guys could help me.
When boat is on trailer the steering is very easy to turn with no sticky spots .
Had her in the water today and was very heavy and when on full lock doing a fast slow normal turn it was very hard to get wheel to turn again to begin to straighten up and while going along at speed wasnt very responsive?
I have a 4 blade prop on it would this matter, sorry i dont no the size of prop yet.350 mpi motor and wasnt very impressed at the speed and pull power. Could this be the prop?
And would the prop be making the steering hard
    any help is good
our summer is comming up soon so i would like to get these things fixed
    thanks guys

I'd start with replacing the steering cable. Boat is usually easier to turn to the right than the left because of prop wash.

would the rudder bush need lubeing as well and what about behind the steering wheel would that need lubeing or checking out.
while on the trailer it is easy to turn but you couldnt rotate it with 1 finger if you know what i mean.

I usually give my rudder a shot of greese when I winterize my boat every year. It has a fitting on it. My steering is easy all the time.
