Need to replace my hour meter.

I have the VDO hour meter, and was getting moisture in the lense, so i poped out the guage to see were the water was comming from, turns out there is a crack long the out side of the lense(where the glass meets the plastic) so i super glued it and the inside of the lense is now all fogged out. Where can i buy a new VDo guage to match??? Barts and overtons and ski unlimited do not carry them.
    thanks

is the gauge on your dash, and it looks bad? if you replace the gauge it will look suspicous to the person who may buy your boat in the future. replace and keep the old gauge to show him the original hours, you should be able to find at west marine/boaters world/ any good boat dealership.
depending on how many hours are on your boat when you get the new gauge hook it up to a battery and match the hours. example-400 hours would take 16 days on the battery. just dont go over. save the old gauge and receipt for the new one. Hour meters are like odometers on cars, its hard to convince someone you did an honest replacement no matter how hard you try.

VDO discontinued that gauge approx. 2 years ago. If the lens crack is fixed and all you have is a fogging problem turn on your navigation lights and the bulb in the gauge will generate enough heat to defog the lens. This might take a few minutes to work.
