I got kind of a surprise today. I was inquiring about perfect pass and apparently I cannot have it installed. I have to go with the Tige speed control system??

yes you can, if you are a mechanical throttle you can. And if it's throttle by wire I'm about 90% sure you can as well.

I have Perfect Pass as a factory-installed option on my 2005 24V.

I think 2006 was the first year they went to throttle-by-wire and Speed Set. I assume they stopped offering Perfect Pass as a factory-installed option that year, but I always thought you could still get Perfect Pass installed after market, even with the throttle-by-wire.

Just did a search of past threads, and it looks like Perfect Pass will work on the 2006's (there were apparently some intitial compatibility problems on the Marine Power throttle-by-wire that were fixed):
