22ve 2007, sometimes when I switch the engine on, there is no power above idle. Sometimes fixed with switching back off, then on again. Seems to be happening more and more often. As this is an electronic throttle and not mechanical, I don't know where to look for a fix. Anyone got any ideas before I haul it to the shop?

Search the site for a potentiometer, there is a thread on here where he tracked down the part manufacturer and put it in himself. You also might need to adjust it, there is a thread on here on how to do that too. I'd look them up but I'm typing on my phone.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Thanks, I did have a quick look; Could it also be the battery? The cranking one is fine but the other one does get low, I don't charge it and sometimes it is so low that I can't run the radio without some of the amps not working, I have to have the boat running for it all to work. Seems the wiring on the batteries is not correct, the kill switch only kills the cranking battery. When I got the boat the other battery was not grounded and I did it myself so bet it's not installed correctly either.

yes the battery voltage can affect the operations of the electronics in the boat. While the boat is not running, remove the plastic engine cover, remove the flame arrestor and manually push the throttle body butterfly open. It is geared so push firmly to free it but not forcefully, I have had one jam up on me after it sat for an extended period of time.

Not sure if that's the same thing. Here is what happens:
Turn on the key, beeps, stops beeping, engine starts as normal, put it in drive or reverse and it only will idle, no matter where the throttle is positioned. Turn it off, then on again (maybe a couple of times) and operates as normal. A couple of times, we have stopped the boat, left the engine running and when we go to pull away the problem is there, turn it off and on (again, could take a few tries) it works again. Problem turned up last year, but this year, each week we are out it's getting progressively more common.

Search the board for "throttle". You will find alot of people who have / had the same issue. If you have dual battery set-up, that would be first thing to look at. Otherwise, the majority of the time it's the sensor at the throttle handle. You do not need to replace the entire unit. The sensor alone is available, check with Dom on this site.

To answer you question about whether it could be the battery.....Maybe! The word from Tige was that the 07 model year boats got a wire harness change, so the ECM gets all it's power from only one battery, instead of both. But, I think some early 07's may have slipped through. So, I would make sure both batteries are good and fully charged and then see if the problem continues. If so, it very well could be the TBW POT. This would require an interface scan-tool to read the code and see the throttle sensor data.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
