Sucked in some gunk: Overheating

I parked my boat in a lilly pad area and must of sucked in some crap. There is nothing blocking my intake but now my boat is overheating.
Is there a screen somewhere that would trap such stuff? If so, could someone guide me where to find it?

More than likely there's now some garbage stuffed up against the trans cooler cooling bundle. If you haven't already, remove the water hose going to it and check for stuff inside the bundle and clean as required.
There are also several manufacturers that make inline sea strainers. Groco, rex marine and perko are some of the manufacturers available. Your raw water lines are 1.25" inside diameter so be sure to purchase the correct sized inlet and outlet barbs, not the pipe threaded side(NPT). West Marine carries most of the high quality bronze and stainless basket style strainers and Rex Marine carries other pancake style stainless housing water strainers. Good luck.

X2. Might want to check your impeller, too. If it ran dry, it could be toast.

Yup...the trans-cooler was filled with crap. Cleaned it out and all good to go.
