lacking power

Ok guys, I have a strange problem. My boat does not seem to have the right power. Specifically, it doesn't want to plane out. It is running smooth and doesn't missfire. Any suggestions? It is also triggering the engine alarm. The boat has plenty of oil and is not running hot. It's not limp mode bc it will go about 32 mph.

How about tranny fluid?

I thought about that last night but haven't been out to check on it. Would that cause a lack of power?

Make sure there is no fishing line wrapped around the shaft and the strut. Had that happen on an outboard before with the same result.
