I have a whopping 10 hours on my Tige and it has been in the shop and broken down more in those 10 hours then my Crownline was in 15 years and almost 500 hours. I really like the way it pulls, but maybe a Nautique, Malibu or Mastercraft would be more reliable. Am I alone in thinking this?

Im on my 3rd Tige. only major issues were on my current tige. V drive flange bolts backed out at 16 hours and left me dead on the water. Right after getting it back transmission seal went out. Both times tige dealer stepped up and had me back on the water. ZF had a new transmission shipped to them in 2 days! Otherwise been great boats for meLet it be!!!

10 hours on a 2007? Is that 10 hours you put on a used boat? Who knows how the first owner treated it.
Did you buy it new, after it had been sitting on a lot for 3-4 years? Such time sitting unused is very tough on all the engine components.
Then again, maybe you did get a lemon.
However, I don't think that Tige's have a worse track record for reliability than any other towboat manufacturer. All the brands you mentioned have their issues, too, and occasional lemons.
Hopefully you and your shop can get your issues resolved, and then you can have many years of (relatively) problem-free operation. Good luck.

My 2009 RZ2 sat for almost a year on the dealers lot, the only problem for me so far is a bad house battery which I didn't discover until I drove 7 hours away from the dealer.
When I went into the service for training my last boat sat for about 3 years. The fuel in the tank was drained, the engine was winterized and it was keep in a climate (humidity) controlled garage (for classic cars). When I got it back I spent some coin and had new carpet, upholstery, custom swim platform, new stereo system, had the carburetor rebuilt and new batteries, new trailer tires, flushed the trailer brake system and I didn't have a problem on that boat for over 3 years (1993 Bayliner Classic 2250).
As stated above, when boats sit, if they are not properly prepped, they spoil. IF you have a warranty feel lucky that most of the issues of getting the boat back to good running condition will be covered. I would keep a real close eye on the engine/transmission for the first 50 hours, watching the seals, they can dry out/dryrot and cause you headaches on the lake.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Are Tiges Worth It
Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate. By the way the boat was new and did sit on the lot for 3 years. However the boat was gased up for the first time when we bought it. Because of the positive feedback I will gut out the initial issues. If it continues to be problematic I think I will trade it in on a new Nautique.
Thanks again.

Not trying to bust your balls, just hate to see you down on the boat, when the cause of the issues have not yet been pinpointed. You're not the first to pick up a dealer leftover and have issues. In the end, most seem to boil down to either because the boat sat or the dealer "demo'd" the boat and then delivered it to a customer in less then perfect condition.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Speaking from experience - Tige makes great boats and they stand behind them. All boats have issues, regardless of their make. To put things in perspective, only 6,500 ski/wakeboard boats were built last year (includes all the major brands). They aren't mass produced like cars, so don't set your expectations there.
Happy boating with your new Tige and hopefully if you have more issues, they are resolved quickly.

Good to know
Thanks again for the feedback. I sure hope you are right. We really like the style, color and performance (when it runs). I am guessing it is the speedo side of the tri-sensor. The depth and temp seem to work fine. I contacted Airmar in regards to a test procedure for the speedo sensor and the just referred me to the dealer. I spend most of the winter sanitizing the little production flaws and featuring up the boat only to have problems once summer got here. Maybe my expectations where just a little too high! I will post some pictures, I think you will like some of the neat things I have done to the boat. My next task is to replace those tacky engine intake vent hoses with brushed aluminum ducts.
