    Winterizing Raptor 440- '19 RZX3

    TO,

While I've had Tige's since 2014, I have been fortunate enough to never have to winterize them. I have helped friends do theirs, so am semi familiar on pulling the blue plugs.....

Help me with a checklist for the Raptor 440, if you're experienced on a basic winterization. While we live in Houston, Texas, last years Snowpocolypse has me treading a little more cautiously this "winter" and the boat may stay in our lift for the first time this off season.

    - How many plugs for 440 and locations?
    - Sea Strainer?
    - V Drive?
    - Anything else or Pro Tips?

    I appreciate it!

My 2017 440 had 6 drains, as I recall. Yours could be different. Think it has a different heat exchanger than mine did.

-Remove the impeller cover and remove impeller for storage.
-Blue drain plug at bottom of heat exchanger.
-(1) brass plug in each exhaust manifold.
-Blue plug at end of drain hose from prop shaft seal.
-Brass plug at the back of the v-drive.

I never used antifreeze and never had an issue in our Utah winters. Some years I would take the ballast pumps apart to get any water out, other years I would not. Never had an issue there either.

An extension and socket will reach the v-drive plug through the trash can access. And also the strainer if you want to clean it. I hated pulling up the floor.

2019 Raptor will not have the exhaust crossover hose with the blue plug. Will need to remove the two brass plugs on the exhaust manifolds.
